new adquisition

Readers,

I know me and my blog have grown smaller of fashion & style, since it turned more into a photography blog last year, and I started caring a little bit less about how I looked and more about how I behaved. I learned that the way you dress, although it says something about you, can't beat your words and your attitude, because they say much more.
However, it doesn't mean that I started dressing poorly or anything. I just began to put less time and importance on making a statement (fashionwise), and just dressing in a way that just fitted me. And also, it doesn't mean that I don't get excited when I buy a new shirt, dresse, a new pair of jeans, or in this case shoes (more especifically, boots). I love them! They're ALDO and perfect for this season (remember that I'm on the southern hemisphere).

They're really comfortable, so I can wear them to uni :D
That's all, folks!

the city so nice they named it twice

So... I came back from a week in NYC last Monday :)
I'll tell a few details of each day.

Monday I got lost at the Grand Central Station and enjoyed my way back to the hotel by walking on 5th avenue, Broadway and Times Square. They picked me up and we went to Rockefeller Center and had a great view of The City. At night, we went to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and took photos with almost every wax celebrity.

Tuesday We took the Circle Line Cruise and saw the Statue of Liberty and some famous bridges. We shopped and, at night, we went to the top of the Empire state and saw the city that never sleeps.

Wednesday We went to The Dakota and walked through Strawberry Fields. Then, we went to the American National History Museum. After that, we crossed Central Park by the Jackie Onassis Reservoir to go to the Guggenheim Museum. We closed the day with Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera.

Thursday We crossed Central Park in order to arrive to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (my favourite), and then, headed our way to the Frick Collection. After some art, we headed to the Fashion avenue and saw all the famous boutiques (I had a little Audrey Hepburn moment in front of Tifanny & Co). It was a great day ♥.

Friday We went to Ground Zero by subway. Then, we visited St. Paul's chapel and shopped at J&R on our way to Wall Street. Next step: Chinatown and SoHo. There, we went to the New Museum (there was like the best elevator ever) and then to Strand (I had to buy a bag, because I bought plenty of books).

Saturday First stop: St. Patrick's Cathedral. Then, we bought some books at Barnes & Noble. Then we went to the MoMA (great museum too). We went walking to the Whitney Museum (on our way, we passed by The New York Palace and there was a little Gossip Girl moment there). After the Whitney, we hurried our way to the Central Zoo and then back to the hotel. Kichi, iGnaa and I went to see Chicago The Musical and then we had like our "last supper".

Sunday Last day, last souvenirs and long flight.

the simple life

Me gusta Gossip Girl, me gusta Lipstick Jungle, pero también adoro Grey's Anatomy, Friends, Two and a Half men y The Big Bang Theory.

Entry #100!

Wow, today was such a great day .
I just want to thank everybody for being there and saying the classical "happy birthday". Thanks, dear friends and family, and even teachers, hahaha!
What did I received?

- Dad an Acer laptop, a gold necklace and a cute sports set.
- Brother (Mauro) The Beatles CD (greatest hits 1962-1966).
- iGnaa the Johnny Depp biography.
- Kichi a yellow bracelet, a CD with the OST from Camp Rock (made by Kichi herself) and a data CD with a cute rainbowish letter and the most beautiful Johnny Depp wallpaper, all wrapped in a Pirates of the Caribbean paper.
- 2 emails.
- a dedicated video.
- 18 Facebook Wall messages.
- 15 or more MSN people had "happy birthday Cami" or something similar on their nicknames.
- a thousand hugs (from Vale A to our ex-history teacher).
- 2 Happy Birthday to you songs.
- lots of love.
And there's more coming on Saturday, from my dearest friends.
Winter Tea Party coming soon...

je suis tombé amoureux de ton visage

9.30 I woke up (with a clear sky).

11.00 Me and my mum went to have breakfast at Starbucks.

11.30 We went to have ourselves some treat (hairdresser). I had a hair massage and now my hair is shiny and healthy, I also had my hair cut like 8cm (straight now, it is as long as curly before, let's see when I wash it and then it gets curly again), plus a manicure.

14.30 Back home.
18.00 Synchronised Swimming Gala. I would have been in the pool if it wasn't because I stopped practising this sport las year. Reasons? I'd rather not tell in case some people read this ;)

20.30 Mall with my mum. She bought green contact lenses por herself and then we went to Paris (a multistore), which has one of my favourite brands: Topshop (there isn't any Topshop store here, but you can find the brand in a few Paris stores). I saw the dress and blouse I want for my birthday and my mum actually bought it, asked it to be wrapped as a present and my mum will give it to me on Thursday and I'll pretend to be surprised (that's our plan).

22.00 Home, sweet home.

French Ladies don't know squat

Vanessa Paradis may veer towards existentialist glamour, but aren’t you fed up with the praise heaped on her countrywomen?

* Frenchwomen are so fabulous that they can smoke loads of Gitanes without getting bad breath or brown teeth.
* Frenchwomen can eat croissants without getting crumbs on their cashmere cardigan, or worrying about cholesterol, or becoming hideously obese.
* Frenchwomen always take off one accessory before leaving the house.
* Frenchwomen understand how to keep their men happy in special, secret Frenchy ways, which sometimes involve black lingerie.
* Frenchwomen can tie an Hermès scarf on their heads and not end up looking Kurdish (not that there’s anything wrong with looking Kurdish).
* Frenchwomen put lavender in their panty drawers.
* Frenchwomen are so bloody perfect and superior, it’s annoying.
* Frenchwomen are full of chic!
